About

Fine art photographer, Daniel Stein is an emerging artist with 30 years experience of creative expression. His images are quickly gaining recognition as thoughtful works of art by clients and reviewers alike. You can see his work on album covers, at corporate installations, and in magazine editorials.

Daniel was born and raised in Philadelphia and spent his formative years in New York City. While the East Coast will always have a natural pull, for the last twenty years, he has built his life and career in Southern California. His creative direcion took a turn when, after one year at Syracuse University’s College of Visual Art he was accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston. For 25 years Daniel has enjoyed a successful career in the music business as a composer, musician, and producer. However, as a composer he has never strayed far from his visual arts roots, as his musical focus has been underscore for film and television.

Daniel’s love of photography has matured and flourished. He readily combines a musician’s sense of timing, pace, depth, emotion, lyrical quality and intimacy of subject matter with the photographer’s sense for expansive awareness of his surroundings to include texture, simplicity, and energy. He makes pictures with the same intensity that he makes music.

Daniel’s photographs have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Judith Kaufman Gallery in North Hollywood, California, Doma Art in Charlotte, North Carolina, and PhotoBistro.com. He was recently selected from over 500 applicants to the juried portfolio review at Photo Alliance in San Francisco, California. His images have been published in Esquire and Scientific American.
